As somebody who has spent the last two years working on a blockchain data stamping machine, imagine my surprise when the President of the United States announces he wants to record the GDP to the blockchain. This wasn’t just a wish; they went ahead and did it with the help of the three largest crypto markets, writing the file hash of the document PDF on nine different blockchains.

While their method was somewhat crude, it touched on the right approach to long-term data preservation. We’ve been refining similar techniques over the past couple of years, aiming to simplify the user experience for both stamping and verification.

Without needing to seek help from Coinbase, Gemini, or Kraken, I was able to create the same PDF stamped on the Ethereum (Base) blockchain, and it took me approximately 5 seconds to do so using the Chainletter platform.

Check this link out to verify their document! It even calculates the hash for you. The government article went as far as pasting source code and making it all sound fancy but at Chainletter we’re all about keeping it simple for our users.

And just so you know I’m not bluffing, here’s me reading the article on the same day it came out!

👉 Note My Shocked Expression

We’re just getting this platform off the ground, but it’s incredibly easy to use, if you couldn’t tell.

We even solved the file distribution part, you don’t need a lengthy article about figuring out the hash of your files, etc. We upload public files to IPFS so you can just download it from a distributed blockchain file system!

We put a lot of time into a feature set for file stamping we feel will be the most compatible with how people currently share information. We have handy links directly to block explorer websites, we allow for private files to be stamped but not posted online, we support files of any type or size. The list goes on. If you’re interested in stamping your own official records, documents, photos, or whatever, reach out!

Our Upload and Stamp Interface is Easy to Use!

Oh and if I haven’t made my point already, here’s a stamped version of a draft of this very post. Better make sure I didn’t change anything important!
